This innovative appliance links telephone, doorbell, security and fire alarms to a central unit which uses an upward facing xenon flash tube to bounce light off the ceiling and make the deaf user aware of an event. If a fire is detected the RNID Smoke Alarm sounds locally, the Strobe Light flashes, the Pillow Pad vibrates and an alarm call is transmitted to a Care Monitoring Centre. Simple to use, with a built-in instruction card. Shaped to discourage the user from placing items over the strobe lens.
