No one likes ironing. Make it faster and easier? Sure!

User research told us that cables often get in the way on an ironing board, making the job more awkward.
Using a simple spring motor the cable is suspended under light tension between the iron and its base.
As the iron moves away from the base, cable is drawn out, recoiling as it returns.
The cable is wound in a flat spiral to dissipate any heat, even when fully coiled.
The effect is like cordless but without any of the power and effectiveness compromises.
