We visited the Packaging innovation show to interview the Carlton Packaging Sales team who are launching the Xtaper - Water activated tape applicator.

The Xtaper is a destined to revolutionise the industry, until now water activated tape had been dispensed by expensive desk based products. Hand held version did not exist, partly because the water tanks and wetting methods were difficult to make portable. As a result the user had to pick the pre cut strip of paper from a dispenser, hands soon become covered in glue.

Paper tape bonds to cardboard amazingly well as a result giving a tamper evidence advantage. Stronger than plastic tape and 100% recyclable.

The product has exceeded our clients expectations.

We developed the Xtaper from the simple brief of (We want a hand held water activated tape dispenser) to the finished product.
